"Silence and Shadows" production design serves to its symbolic construction, using no adornment whatsoever: everything on screen tells a part, even if a little part of the story
The film is filled with the idea of fragility - human fragility, of our emotions, of beauty, of our own lives. It's present in the cracked porcelain on the faces of the child and his father, in the shallow trees, in the flower that vanishes in the air, in the glass that breaks, in the horse that, even made of stone, carries the fissures of time. Fragile allegories of ourselves.
