memory's steep street
Urban intervention project on Ladeira da Memória (Memory's Steep Street seems like a quite poetic translation of the place's name), at the central area of São Paulo, Brazil, with the intent of recovering the place story and bringing it closer to the people who pass it by daily. The project is defined by two panels that run parallelly by the ramp: an image panel and a information one.
The image panel uses Anhangabaú subway station's lateral wall as a surface for projecting images of and old São Paulo, and, over these, images of people from different periods, walking up and down the street.
The place story is told on the information panel, with the presentantion of texts and city maps over a continuos glass, transparent surface.
